In an effort to provide exceptional care and service for our patients, Diabetes & Endocrinology Specialists, Inc. provides the following injections:

InjectionVitamin B12 – Tests are available to determine if a patient has a B12 deficiency.  Even at levels only slightly lower than normal, a range of symptoms such as fatigue, depression, and poor memory may be experienced.  If a patient is deficient, we will administer B12 injections; however, it is the patient’s responsibility to obtain the prescription from their primary care physician.  Please see a nurse or physician for more details.

Flu Vaccinations – Diabetes & Endocrinology Specialists, Inc. provide yearly flu vaccinations.  Due to changes in timing and duration of “flu seasons,” the availability may change, but vaccinations should begin in September and continue throughout the influenza season, into December, January, and possibly beyond.  Please see a nurse or physician for more details.

Injections

Testosterone – As men grow older, their levels of the essential androgen hormone testosterone decline dramatically. This phenomenon has been termed andropause, or the male equivalent of menopause.  Decreasing testosterone levels have been linked to age-related health ailments such as erectile dysfunction, muscle wasting, and, perhaps most notably of all, diabetes.  Diabetes & Endocrinology Specialists, Inc. provide testosterone injection to help restore levels of testosterone to normal levels and possibly help treat the effects of diabetes and help aging men decrease their reliance on diabetes medications. Clinical experience shows that testosterone therapy helps improve blood sugar control, boost energy levels, support sexual health, and promote wound healing.  Please note that, like B12 injections, obtaining prescriptions for testosterone from their primary care physician is the patient’s responsibility.

NOTE: Due to billing issues through Medicare and other insurance companies, injections will not be given during an office visit.  We do accept walk-ins for injections, but cannot be done on the same date as an office visit.  Also, please be aware that injections are given to established patients only. We will be unable to provide injections to spouses of established patients.
